Attorney David Blackwell

Meet Attorney David Blackwell, a founding member of the firm Blackwell Trimnal Myers, LLC who brings an admirable level of honor and dedication to the practice of law.

After obtaining his undergraduate degree in Accountancy from South Carolina’s Wofford College, David earned his law degree from the University of South Carolina School of Law. During his legal education, David worked with the South Carolina Attorney General’s Office, where he received valuable knowledge and practical skills that would prepare him well to better serve his clients.

In 2003, David initiated his own law practice, fighting for good people who could benefit from his extreme dedication to getting the job done. Since that time, he has represented many individuals and families with rewarding outcomes.

David enjoys what he does and strives to take his legal knowledge and tactical skills to the next level every day. He prides himself on being able to help people whose lives have been affected by the negligence of others, and his ability to communicate well with clients from all backgrounds and circumstances.

David’s areas of focus include auto accidents, motorcycle accidents, wrongful death, slip and falls, unsafe premises, workplace injuries, and probate litigation. He has years of experience with the litigation process, including evidentiary hearings, trials, discovery, mediation, settlement negotiations, and management of unique legal challenges.

David is a certified mediator in the Circuit Court of South Carolina, he is certified to practice law in the Federal District Court and the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals. David is a member of the South Carolina Bar Association, the Trial Lawyers Association, and the Lancaster County Bar Association. He is also a popular and respected business law professor at the University of South Carolina, Lancaster Campus.

David enjoys a variety of community activities, including coaching soccer. He served as mayor of Kershaw and is active on a variety of boards and foundations. He is honored to be able to assist the hardworking people of this great state with a deep level of commitment and a strong dedication to using the justice system for positive legal solutions.
