Channel Swain

Channel was born and raised in Stockton, California and graduated from Cesar Chavez High School, one year early, in 2012 after taking dual classes at San Joaquin Delta College. Channel then attended the California State University of Fresno where she earned her Bachelor's degree in Philosophy with a Pre-Law emphasis in 2016. Channel returned to Stockton where she attended Humphreys University and earned her Master's degree in Legal Studies in 2018. Channel clerked in different legal fields while attending Taft Law School and earned her Juris Doctorate in 2021. Channel started working for Butler, Thiessen & Metzinger in 2022, igniting her passion for Family Law. Channel studied for and passed the California bar exam in 2025 and was sworn in November 2025. Channel has been an associate attorney at Butler, Thiessen & Metzinger since that time growing her passion for advocating for victims of domestic violence and members of the community on various family law matters such as guardianship, adoption, child custody, and visitation. In her spare time, Channel enjoys spending time with her husband and two children. Channel also spends her time volunteering with her sorority, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority prioritizing advocacy for members of our community.
