Karina was raised in Buckinghamshire England and attended St. Clement Danes School in Hertfordshire. Upon graduating, attended the University of Sheffield where she completed her BA in Law (QLD). She completed a mini pupilage under Queens Counsel and thereafter took an interest in practicing law in the United States. Karina studied for and passed the New York bar and was sworn in June 2017. Thereafter, she completed an internship for Long Beach Law in California focusing on Criminal Law, Family Law, Wills and Trusts, Civil Litigation and advocating for the LGBTQ+ community. Karina studied for and passed the California bar exam in 2020 and was sworn in December 2021.After relocating to Stockton, she practiced as part of CAC representing clients in criminal Misdemeanor cases. She also began taking private family law cases, advocating for victims of domestic violence. This ignited her interest in family law, so she began working as an associate attorney at Butler, Thiessen & Metzinger in September 2022. In her spare time Karina enjoys the outdoors, live music and alternative healing practices. She also finds time to volunteer for the First Impressions Program and provides training classes for PREVAIL regarding preparation of domestic violence restraining orders. She recently joined the Consuelo M. Callahan American Inn of Court to focus on the prioritization of civility in the legal practice.
