Fighting for the child support your child deserves

On Behalf of | Dec 30, 2015 | Child Support, Firm News |

Individuals throughout California may have begun working on New Year’s resolutions during the last several weeks. For many people, resolutions are goals that may be easier to write down than to actually achieve. While it is appropriate to let some resolutions slide, there are certain goals that individuals should commit to as 2016 approaches.

One important resolution that parents in California may make for the coming year is to be proactive about child support obligations. Whether they are concerned that the non-custodial parents are falling behind on child support, or whether they are the non-custodial parents who hope to do better about meeting their child support obligations, parents may need help sticking to their goals. In these situations, getting more information about family law issues can provide assistance with meeting child support guidelines and orders.

The law firm of Butler, Thiessen & Metzinger, Inc. & Associates provides child support assistance to individuals on both sides of the support table. We attempt to help our support-seeking clients pursue delinquent payments, as well as seeking out non-custodial parents who have exhibited a failure to pay child support. We also represent individuals who may need child support modifications to make their monthly obligations more manageable.

When courts order parents to pay child support they do so in order to maintain the best interests of the children subject to the support. However, it is often up to the parents to make sure that this important obligation is fulfilled. At our law firm, we do our best to help parents in California with their child support concerns.
